Motivare?

Aug 26

bautura, tehnic si primaTV

Aug 21

Oh yeah.. we’re back in business… doing our best and hoping to get online with the products as soon as possible. You’ll hear about us ;)

Cartarescu si ipocrizia

Jan 08

Probabil cea mai interesanta replica dintr-o revista romaneasca in ultimul timp:

Writing things down

Jan 04

For now i’ve started writing the ideas down, trying to see if they are feasible and trying to apply some sort of modeling to the applications.

So i’ve started with some very simple UML 2.0 documentation to see how exactly should a project be written down so that the notes become useful not only later on in the developing of the application, but also at the start, by generating some very simple code which would take a while to write by hand. Of course this is time consuming also, being the first time i’m trying to work like this, but it’s also educational, not only for Web Development, but in any branch of IT development.

By drawing the diagrams i’m hoping to reduce the number of surprises generated by mistakes of software architecture. Unfortunately i haven’t been able to find a liunux software suitable for this task except Dia which to tell you the truth isn’t much of a modeling tool, at least in my opinion, but it does offer the basics which i need right now.

So enough of the tech guide for now…

Starting a project

Jan 02

First of all, i would like to state that i have no real experience with managing a project… that is to say, that i never had this job before, and what better way to learn than to experience it yourself? ;)

So right now, the first step towards project management is reading about it. Reading and taking notes about how things should be done, what i should be careful about and most of all, where to start from. The good news is that i’ve started right: everyone writes that i should write down what i’m interested to obtain by finalizing a project. Most of you would underline MONEY. Yes, we’re not denying that, but still… let’s take a look a little bit further, toward what is going to generate that large amount of money you are all dreaming about :)

management

Dec 31

During the last period i’ve been showing interest into social networking and i’m not refering to hi5, nor myspace.com :)

I remember my father drawing my attention at the fact that everything depends upon your relations with other people, and he was not referring to bribe or things like that, but more to the fact that even if you’re a very smart person, if someone doesn’t like the way you behave, he will definitely not work with you.

This is going beyond friendship, cause real friends you have one or two. This is about business relationships, relationships with your employees or employer.

Doing some reading about project management, i ran on some things that have never occurred to me while working for a company. The most important that i consider is the fact that a project is never 100% successful if your team members(you being a project manager) are exhausted after they do their job.

I’m backing this up, because in my idea, you will need those people to sustain the improvements or fixes of the project you are managing. Or if your team is tired, they will definitely not have the same power they had when they started the project. So you won’t be able to fix any problems that might appear after you deliver the final results, or you won’t benefit from the same team support you had at the beginning.

team work

Dec 27

I’m looking for colleagues for the 2 new online projects that i have in development, which i wish to finish in the year to come.

The 1st project is about online advertising, while the 2nd about online commerce.

If you consider you have enough knowledge about these fields, or about php/java, SQL or design, send an email at florin.diaconeasa [at] gmail.com

Have a Happy New Year!

sarbatori…

Dec 25

PS: Have a Merry Christams and a Happy New Year!
